Got Backed Into!!
I was at UCLA Medical Center today visiting my 20 year old niece who is in ICU waiting for a liver transplant and some jerk backed into me in the parking lot! Of course, they did not leave a note or anything. I didn't notice it when I got into the GL because it was indoors, but as soon as I got home, I saw it.
I'm guessing it's not going to be a cheap repair, so I'll run it through our insurance. I'm so mad that whomever did this didn't have the guts to leave a note.

I would call UCLA medical center's security and have them pull the security tape from the time period you were parked in the garage. The sooner you call the better chance you have of them still having the tape, and then prosecute the bastage.

I second that idea of viewing the tapes. Try to pipoint the time as best you can. That will help the person performing the review. Good luck.

Sorry to hear and see that, Jen. It really STINKS. For repair another thought is to get the bumpers painted to match the body color. I think the bumper damage would get covered by the paint prep, IMO.

damn that sucks. same thing happened to my week old range. except the valet backed into another car after ripping up the grass with my expensive wheels. some people just have no respect.
but the damage dosent look too bad. i would say at best you would need a new bumper(just the plastic part). the rest looks like it could be buffed out from the pic

My auto insurance company is going to contact UCLA to see if they can get any video of the accident. If they can catch who did it, my deductible is waived ($500).
I've got an appointment next week to drop the GL off at the MB dealership & the insurance adjustor will take a look at the car there. If it's <$700 then I'll pay for it myself. Fortunately, we have other vehicles that I can drive as we do not have rental car as part of our auto insurance.

Nish...it's funny that you recommended that....I dropped my GL at Beverly Coachcraft and am getting the valances/bumpers/side skirts painted Iridium Silver to match since I was going to have my doors repainted anyway.....should have her back good as new this Friday.

Thanks Mel. My insurance co. lets me use whomever I want, so I went with the MB dealer closest to me (Valencia). I drop it off next Monday or Tuesday (don't remember; paperwork is at my office) for the estimate.
I hope it doesn't take too long to repair; I have to drive my husband's F150 4x4 while the MB is in the shop
