The Best of Mercedes & AMG
KEY GAME HIGHLIGHTS - Day 2
#1 - There are a total of 14 guestimates so far. The latest entry has come in from our fair friend from California tonight who drives a beat-up GL450 around town... Newbie 2 MB.
Sorry Jen... I just couldn't resist being ornery. I truly hope your repair goes smoothly and that the insurance company finds the lawbreaker on the videotape.
#2 - The range between the highest and lowest guess is enormous... $21,901.50. Nevada Jack owns the highest guess at $82,576.50 and Danno4x4 owns the lowest at $60,675.00.
#3 - Only one player has submitted a guess, rounded off to the nearest penny. It's our esteemed contributor and generous prize package coordinator... Nevada Jack! What's he know that we don't?
#4 - If you throw out the lowest and highest guestimates, you get a mean value of $78,389.08. Hmmmm... that seems to be a interesting figure.
Hope you are all enjoying this little thread and I'll continue to post updates as the guestimates roll in.

For those that haven't seen it, the base price is $76,975 and a pleasant surprise it is, including no upcharges for metallic paint.
So, according to my records, we have a winner. She may have never posted on the GL550 thread, but she knows how to price a GL550 in the Price is Right game. The WINNER is our friend Jen (a.k.a. "Newbie 2 MB") with a guesstimate of $76,600. How's that for impressive?
She wins the incredible prize package, which includes the infamous cabbage soup from Nevada Jack.
So, the good news for ol' Stumblefoot is that nearly 70% of the guesstimates were too high (including my own).
WHEW!!! Now I don't have to call the broker after all.
Congratulations Newbie 2 MB and enjoy the soup!

Great news for all the GL550 people who have an order in (or may now be planning on doing so
) And congratulation to Jen! I don't know the cook and the Cabbage Soup is only offered about every 10 days or so. I hope that is not because they have to wait for the excess cabbage to build up enough to make soup
If I can find a way to ship it FedEx I will try or she can let me know when she and her GL (and her dogs) are coming to LV. I will see if they have the soup and make arrangement for her to collect her prize....

The really cool part is my husband told me I was WAY off & he guessed in the mid-$60's as a price range. I'm going to get some mileage out of this one!!
NV, I'm usually in Vegas once or twice a year, so I'll take you up on the soup offer the next time I'm in Sin City.

I'll eat anything but cabbage soup, probably not.
I know I'd be up for making the trip from Colorado.
The local is the Suncoast Hotel and Casino and is located in the Summerlin area of LV. It is owned by Boyd Gaming, who is just starting a mega-resort on the strip. A nice place with transport to the strip or a short 20 minute drive to any casino or hotel on the strip. The Marriott is about a half mile away and is a little more upscale also.
Let's see what the future brings...
I know I'd be up for making the trip from Colorado. Also, it looks like I may have listed the winner incorrectly in the other thread. My apologies, Jen. And next time you go to Vegas, directions to Bellagio are on me

Also, if we can pull this off, I wonder if we could talk boxboss into making the trip and bringing some of those Rendezvous ribs for everyone to enjoy. Heck, we might even talk AutoSaurus into joining us with his Q7. And, do you think blittle would make the cross-country journey, bringing some lobsters in the back of his beast?
I'm telling you... this could be one heck of a party!
Come one, come all... we may need to start a new thread with this topic!
Now here's the real problem for me; Las Vegas is not only do-able, but it's do-able in the GL and I happen to really like the rooms at the Venetian.
In fact, other than the long wait at Hoover Damnation, it's really not too bad a drive. Not very exciting, mind you, but not too bad.

(Oh, by the way ... it's
