We decided to stick with the wood/leather wheel. My wife thinks it's "pretty". We also switched from Iridium Silver to Pewter, mostly because it's a bit unusual which appealed to us.
By the way, my dealer has been very responsive in trying to answer all of my questions, and he is also quite aggressive with pricing. If anyone is interested, his name is Lee Reavis at Mercedes-Benz of Winston-Salem (800-489-1217). If you talk to him, tell him Dr. Raj said hi.

BTW, Pewter/Mac is a beautiful combo and was on the first GL I ever saw. What did you end up paying, if you don't mind asking.
