ADSII Again...

2006 ML500 (mine) and 2008 ML550 (hers)
GL550 Canadian Options
I have a GL550 on order in Canada, and ADSII is standard. I also have an 06 ML500 with ADS and it is a must in my opinion. My Silver / Black GL550 is to be built in the 3rd week of August according to dealer. Canadian configuration is a bit different, but the standard front seats have multi contour and climate comfort seats as standard.

I just received confirmation from MBUSA on the ADSII controversy. I know we have answered this question but thought I would post the response anyway.

standard on the GL550 only.

I am placing an order for a 2008 GL550. The Netstar listing indicates that
ADSII, Code 214 is standard on this truck. However, the BYO MBUSA site
fails to mention ADSII in it's specification detail under any category.
The individual packages are not listed in the BYO Options list so there is
no way to verify ADSII as a feature. Since there was a great deal of
confusion when the GL450 was introduced with reviews describing the features on the GK450. I later learned that ADSII was only
available on the 450 if you selected the ORP and not available at all on
the GL320CDI. I do not want to be surprised! I have firmed up pricing
and have a build date in the 3rd decade of September (9/20) and would like
to ease my concerns by finding out that ADSII "is" a standard feature and
that Code 214 represents this feature in Netstar. Thanks
PS: Your listing below does not include any 2007 models. I selected 2006 as
an alternative to record ownership of my 2007 S550.

NJ, good work.. You got MB to actually commit.. Another standard feature on the GL550.. The Secret is right the world is full of excess and we can get all that we want.. Looking forward to driving this monster!!!

MB needs to get their marketing act together. Both on actual product content and truly understanding that their customers, especially on higher end models - want to order their vehicles optioned any which way.
I said it once, I'll say it again. ADSII on a ML 320CDI, not offered at all on the GL 320 CDI or GL 450 - who came up with that one?!
This forum is great, I have visited 3 MB dealers some quite large and none of them were able to give me "real" option info on the GL...
