You might consider telling NAVTEQ about the error. They made this mapreporter available:

Looks like it also cleaned up some of our $15 billion "Boston Big Dig" mess over by the airport.

Guys, I showed up at my dealership for the hose campaign and mentioned to the parts guy that I was interested in the latest NAV software. He told me that while he could sell me 2007-1, in a week or two he'd have 2007-2 which was dated either June or July. I cannot tell from the NavTeq site if they're selling version 1 or version 2 of 2007. But Phoenix Motor said it'll be $199, which is a price drop from pre-2007 versions apparantly.

Navigation Database Update At Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI)
Check latest NAV SW is installed at PDI, should be BQ 646 0226
Version can be checked by ejecting DVD and visually reading the DVD label
If not latest, order updated NAV DVD from Navteq (1-888- ) and install, return old one for credit.

I have 2007.1 and here in Montana, we have started to call the state "no turn by turn directions are available." In Butte & Helena, when I put in the hotel addresses, the NAV could find the addresses, but said, "you are entering an area where turn-by-turn directions are not available. Use the highlighted arrows to guide you." In Helena, it got us within a block of the hotel. Butte was more difficult, but the hotel was situated in an odd location. In Missoula, it's been pretty good and found a restaurant that was recommended to us.

I called the number NJ provided . Spoke to the rep and she mentioned that I have to pay 199+S&H for the new DVD but there is no refund on returning the older one back.
That sucks ! If I were to buy a 2007 model now, it would have come with latest software ! that does not sound right.

The refund is only for MB dealers returning old DVDs to Navteq after updating the DVD at the Pre Delivery Inspection. All those bulletins on the list are intended for Mercedes dealers.

Steve, I just talked with Navteq (see number provided by NJ) to see what's up with this. They say the Q6-46-0226 was just released this June and that it's the 2007.1 version, and the latest released version. They did not know about a soon to be released 2007.2 for the GL.
Man, you really do have to be a fanatic just to make sure your vehicle's up to date, don't you? UGH!

Ohferchrissakes, why would the guy have a 2007.1 disk and not want to sell it to me, saying there's a June-released 2007.2 disk? I do not get it. Is this another one of those right-hand/left-hand things? Who's clueless this time, the MB guy or the Navteq guy?

while we are discussing tha navigation system for the GL. I have encoutered problem using the system thru the voice control. I have gone thru individualization of the system to my voice but still have problems with it. I also have a complain about it though, when I use voice command the system asks for the street address but not for the city? and it will give a list of possible location, that really sucks.
