The difference is only 1.5 lbs/HP Nothing else internally is different on two trucks . I would think that there could be a difference of .2 sec to .5 sec between two trucks.. On the other hand, the 550 carries the torque of a 320 cdi which could be useful.
I only wish they had the 420 cdi available in US (wooping 500 + lbs of torque ) which could be good enough to tow a whole street
