A different transmission question
Here's the deal; I had asked my SA about the delay in acceleration from the line and they told me they installed a software update to deal with "hesitation" problems. Now, the car does not shift into 7th gear at (it seems) just about any speed until I push the "up-shift" button on the back of the steering wheel. My SA wants a shop foreman to ride with me to see it do this, but this is the same shop that couldn't seem to balance tires on my car so I don't know any more if I trust them. According to my SA, "The software update shouldn't be doing that."
This truck was never titled and therefore not technically used when I bought it, but it did have some 440 miles on it from being an LPGA program car for one of the tournaments. It's had a small series of minor problems with it, the only one I can think of that's engineering related is the turbo hose popping off. If it's failing to go into 7th, suppsedly a "check engine" light should come on. But I've also noticed my mileage is around 18.8 in mixed driving and that seems lower than it used to be.
Any advice before I go have them drive the thing next week would be really appreciated. Thanks!

If you are able to shift it into 7th manually, but not automatically, my guess is that the software update they gave you is bad. Something isn't telling the transmission to automatically do it. (Yeah, I know your probably thinking gee, thanks Captain Obvious) Looks like you might be in for another trip to your dealer....

Is this the same one NJ posted regarding the trans? It seems they are working on a lot of software issues with the tranny. Keep on those guys to work it out.
