chrome door hanles - install went wrong
recently installed 4 chrome door handless & one of them kind of went wrong where it does not enable the door handle to fully close. i did this at night...didnt really see the problem untill next day.
does anyone know the best way to remove the chrome door handle & re-mount it?
i was advised to heat it up with a hair dryer & it will pop out with ease.
anyhow, if anyone has suggestion please advise, also which 3m tape would be best to replase the original with.

Well.......the hair dryer advice is the best.....that's exactly what bodyshop guys do. The tape to use is sold at auto parts stores and is called"body trim tape" or something like that I can't rembember for sure but it I used it to install the stainless rear bumper plate on my GL450. It's professional grade tape and will do the job. The difficulty will be getting the right leverage on the trim in order to pull it off........the location behind the handle will make it a little tough. Good luck..........
left my car on the sun for few hours, the chrome handle came off very easily after inserting the dental floss.
any syggestions for the best 3M tape to use to remount the chrome door handle? went to local auto store...thei'r tape didnt seem strong enough to hold it through rain/snow/wind etc.
any ideas are appreciated
