GL320 CDI... The secret is out... 2nd on Forbes Autos top Fuel efficient SUVs
Although it was tied for 2nd with the ML and R class, its the only Big SUV on the list... Not bad, Not bad at all!

The hybrid Lexus is number 1... But, in 10 years when my GL diesel is still chugging along like a champ, I would hate to know what the batteries in that thing cost to replace... I am not sure that even the energizer bunny can help with that one.

The GL does better than the (newly revised) 18/24 EPA estimates. Now that I've got nearly 5000 miles on the engine, it's hard to get less than 20 in the city. I'm getting 24 or more on the highway unless there's a strong headwind.
The hybrix RX400, though, doesn't even come close to the EPA estimates. Check out all the MPG disclaimers in Lexus' literature. And it costs nearly $4k more than the RX350.
The GL is a no-brainer.
