Bluetooth question...

I,ve been following the forum for months and finally got our GL450 Tues. I installed the bluetooth module yesterday and it works but then today my wife found the battery dead on "her new car". It seems that the bluetooth stays connected to the phone even after the car is locked as long as it is within 30ft. Why wouldn't they have the bluetooth turn off automatically after locking the vehicle??? Am I doing something wrong? Why should have to disconnect the bluetooth manually every time I get out of the vehicle or get the phone > 30 ft away????

I might be mistaken, but I believe my bluetooth module turns off when the vehicle is locked. I'm not aware of any setting to change this.

Are you saying that the bluetooth module drained the GL battery?? Seems odd that the bluetooth module would draw enough power to do this. I certainly wouldn't think it could do so overnight.

Bluetooth module doesn't turn off as soon as you turn off the car. But it does turn off a few minutes after and then doesn't turn on till you turn the car on next time. I would have the dealer check this. I doubt that the BT puck could drain the battery.

Congrats on the car and enjoy the ride.
