after the compressor was replaced, truck seems lower?

I got my suspension compressor replaced last week, and noticed the truck doesn't seem to sit up as high as it used to in either riding position.

Anyone know what ride height I should be at (up/down) and where to measure it? It may be in my mind, but I wanna be sure.

Post the distance between ground and your driver door's bottom right corner (opposite from the hinges) and I will check mine too.

that isn't a good way to measure. if you both have different psi in your tires the measurements will be off.

the better way to do it is to measure from the center of the wheel hub (the center cap area) to the top of fender.

I believe this is the traditional way to measure. This link http://reviews.cnet.com/suv/2007-mer...-31879136.html talks about how they measured the GL in a test of the load leveling suspension. They used the distance between the fender & the center of the star.

even tire pressure measuring at the hubs would make a difference (not much).. the article didn't say if that was up or down, but I wold have to assume down (normal).

I'll make sure my pressure is 32psi al the way around (cold) then shoot ya some numbers here in a few minutes.

at 32 psi all the way around and in the raised position, I'm at 21.5 inches in the front, and 22 inches in the rear. This is from the middle of the hub to the bottom edge of the fender.

I didn't measure it lower, as it looks like (according to that article) I would be at 18.0 and 18.5 (3 inches lower) as expected.

So... I guess I'm ok.

Interesting --I thought my GL rode higher after compressor was replaced, but concluded it was all in my mind.
