Although, I found out that Mexico did not move their date to "Fall back". We were ready to head to the airport on Sun, 10/28, and were informed that we were an hour early because their time had changed Sat night. Had we known this, we could have enjoyed "that extra hour" two weekends in a row.

Not only that, but why do you have to SET the time zone? Uh, GPS anyone? It KNOWS when it goes from one time zone to the other, and that Arizona (and one other state ... who is it?) does not do DST, or at least it should. The Nuvi we took on the motorhome trip changed times as it changed time zones, on its own.

There is no time zone setting nor a daylight savings time setting on the E-class Command.

I mentioned that I had reset the clock to my MB service guy the other day, and he told me that I probably didn't have to. If the car has NAV, and if you leave it on the NAV screen, it should automaticaly update. (maybe it takes time to download) Also, I am told by a SL driver, that it will also update time zones as you travel, if it is left on the NAV screen. Picks up the signal with the GPS stuff.

Setting Analog clock 2007 GL 320 CDI
I was unable to find anything in the owner's manual or command manual on changing the analog clock. Did anyone find it? Page number? It should be in the manual as MB makes very complete owner's manuals,

I just finished that trip across country and back and had the opportunity to see the GPS change 6 times...it never happened. I had the NAV on continually. The estimated time of arrival was always PDT.

So when you change the time in the command module, does the analog clock not re-set? I too could not find anything in the '08 manual, but after reading about it here, I ran out to the garage to look. Sure enough, the analog clock had changed to match the command module.

Software glitch in Analog Clock
Here it is: GL 320 CDI 2007: command software glitch: choosing EST daylight savings brings up an hour later, choosing standard time brings up correct time. Conclusion: MB software error and the system needs updating, check with your dealer if you have the same problem.

Where is the error? We went back to standard time. EST daylight savings would definitely bring up an hour later (spring forward for daylight savings). So, 10:00 am EST daylight would be 9:00 am EST standard time.

I stand corrected on the daylight savings time issue. MB was right and so were all of you. Thank you and I appreciate the time and interest you share with your fellow GL owners. The GL is a complex machine and the MB world is a great compliment to ownership.
