I meant to say a 4th single switch-plate cover. After re-reading that earlier post, it doesn't make much sense. Sorry about the confusion. I did get an extra one, I swear.

So, I ordered the chrome wings for the hood as well, and I'm wondering if anyone whom has installed them has any issues with reflections/sunlight. I surmise that MB made them non-reflective and mate-black for this very reason, given the proximity to the windshield.

Does anyone have photos of the wings. I'll head on up to the pics thread to look.

NJ - I can't believe it's $3.25 in Vegas. During the meet, I filled up at the only Mobil I could find and it was 2.99.
That was about a week ago when I got gas...but the prices are jumping in $.05 increments now. I'll check the sign tomorrow...

BTW, I am taking my GL in tomorrow for the side view mirror problem. Also I am going to check on rear mud flaps.

I posted a thread showing the wings and STP has a tutorial posted also on how to install. I have not been bothered with reflections...I do see some hightlights at times but nothing that impacts my vision.

NJ, would love to hear what they say about rear mud flaps. I know you can't do the front but you should be able to do the rear. Inquiring minds want to know.

Looks great!

Mine will go on later this week. I'm driving up to Paso Robles for the holiday, and I think I'll try to get them installed before the trip.

I don't know if Gerald monitors this forum, but I received a 3rd cover for a single window switch (thanks ). It's too big for the trunk switch, as we found out earlier, so I've got an extra that I'll mail out to anyone that wants an up close and personal, visual inspection. I don't know what else I'd do with an extra cover.

BTW, I love the chrome! NJ was right about the continuity with all of the other chrome and metal-trimmed instrumentation and controls in the GL. Instead of there just being plain window switches there on the door, they pop-out and remind you that there's even more buttons to push in the car!
if you still have the extra cover ... can you please mail it to me? let me know here, or via pm. thanks!
