I have been too busy to post, so I will post pics later. Pretty loaded (P2 package, 19" wheel package, dual dvd, running boards, 3-Zone climate etc.,) I put in the chrome fins, the chrome door inserts, and the chrome plate in the bumper the day it came home. Truck looks awesome. So after 500 miles, pros and cons

Pros

Truck is beautiful, handles well, interior is awesome, stereo is good enough for me.

Cons

Glove box, if you can call it that, way too small. Where is one supposed to store the leather case with the manuals? Mirrors are too small, steering is way too light for my liking, and way to similar to the steering of a Cadillac or a Lexus. The ride is a bit too soft also. The steering of BMWs to me is perfection.

Anyhow, this is not my truck, is the wifes. She is very pleased with it and so am I, in fact, she loves it. Today though, a weird thing happen to her. She said she was rolling out of a parking lot, going around 5-6mph,and the truck went into neutral, and then the engine shut off. She turned the ignition back on, and off she went?? Hopefully its a one off.

yep. it lacks even basic storage. center console won't hold hardly anything. (on 08's the two part center console is GONE, and the Bluetooth puck takes up half of the center console area.

Glove box will hold my radar detector, but not my sunglasses case AND radar detector without a TON of moving that **** around.

Manual? mine is in the passenger door slot. It won't fit in the glove compartment.

I came out of an Armada (that I still have) and moving to the GL (size wise) is like taking all the stuff from the Titanic and trying to get it on a lifeboat (all I could think of). I've really had to downsize things I carry. Even my gun is smaller in my GL, my Kimber .45 won't fit anywhere in the damn truck...lol

CONGRATS, ubrs. Glad you enjoying the ride.

Check out the spare tire compartment. Lots of room there to store stuff you don't need all the time like manuals.

Try increasing the tire pressure to 36-38lbs all around to help with too soft suspension in GL's without ADSII.

I will try to do that, see if that makes a difference. Thanks.

At the moment, I have the manuals on the side door pocket, but the tire compartment sounds a good place too. I will have to check that out. Thanks.

We decided not to try to keep the manual in the car for space reasons. I figure that if I had a question while on the road I could use the teleaid service to get the answer.

Where's the fun in that? Should keep the manuals handy so you can read them anytime you need to whether driving at 90 MPH or whether sitting at a traffic light.

That is what I do

Funny - me too. I pull it out every so often. And about every time I find the answer I need I go - "hmmm, pretty cool! I continue to be amazed at how cool and functional this unit is.
