GL 550 Automatic Headlight Problems

GL 550 Automatic Headlight Problems
Hi,
The automatic headlights on my brand new GL 550 keeps malfunctioning! When I start the car in the garage, they of course turn on and when I back out into the sunlight, they'll after a little bit turn off. However, after 6 to 10 minutes of driving, they come back on and stay on even though the windshield is directly facing the sun and ambient temperature is around 71F. Also, the headlights are set in the Manual (not Constant) mode. The dealer here in Buena Park, Southern California has already changed the infrared sensor behind the mirror as well as the controller in the overhead panel. Help!

I've experienced the same problem/annoyance in my ML. I mean, hear I am wearing sunglasses and the stupid auto headlights are on! I do notice on occasion that they work as they should but mostly it seems they are way too sensitive!
I would love to hear a solution as well!
