Hi guys,

Does anyone have an idea what I should pay for a 4 month old GL550 with 6k miles on the clock? I was thinking at offering 69-70? (My wife sets the budget on cars, and a new one is just too much...)

I did have a deal with Dsunnym1, but unfortunately he decided to bail out in the end. I think he still is too much in love with his car.
If anyone would be considering selling his Gl550 send me a line. All colors but black.

I smell BS from Dsunnym1 cuase I had a deal with him to to sell his GL550, then I never heard from him again......

My personal opinion is that you should be able to get a used 550 for less than $70,000 if you don't go through a dealer (i.e. a private party sale). I am not telling you how to spend your money and don't know how hard it would be to convince your wife, but if I was willing to drop that kind of coin on a car I would just bite the bullet and get a new one equipped exactly the way I want it.......

Thanks for the info.
You are probably right about going for a new one, but after buying a S55 4 weeks ago, I was planning to use the remainder of my budget on a GL450 which is in the 50K range.
After negotiating with Dsunnym1 I increased my budget for the GL. He refused to sell in the end.

I don't think there are private GL550s on sale so I' ll get back to a GL450 i think. Unless someone in this forum wants to sell his GL550.

For a used GL450 ( depending mileage) Im sure you can find one below $50K or more. GL550 are still high, wait for a few months and maybe you can find them less than what they are going for now. I'd prefer the GL550, that's just me

Got the approval from my wife to get us a new GL550!!!
Need keylessgo,+RSE+ illum DS+ipod.
Color PEWTER inside and bl. or mac. inside.
Dealer offered 3K below MSRP but I am sure other guys can do better. Anyone with a sharp offer please PM me.

Good for you! I hope you understand that her approval will need to be paid back by you in the form of an annuity. A wife's approval is the gift that just keeps on giving.

Do yourself a favor and call Nevada Jack's salesperson (Greg Weiler) at Westminster MB in Denver at 866-711-0429. I purchased my 550 from this dealer (different salesperson) and Greg is certainly the cream of the sales crop. I'm sure if you tell him that Nevadajack referred you and he will take good care of you too.

Carsdirect.com is a decent place to look for a pre-owned car. I searched within 300 miles of my zip code in southern California but did not find any 550's listed.
