AMG Wheels for a 2008 GL320 CDI?
Just received my 2008 GL320.
Love it!
However, I really like the looks of the AMG wheels on the GL550. The GL550 has extended wheel well flares to extend the fenders over the wider wheels/tires.
I'm afraid if I buy a set of GL550 wheels without the flares - the wheels are going to stick out too far.
Has anyone out there done this without installing the flares?
Pictures?
The next alternative I have been looking at is installing 19" ML AMG wheels using my exisiting 19" tires.
However, I'm not too excited about putting ML wheels on a GL - the offset is very close to the same.
I have also found a set of aftermarket 19" wheels

The wheels I would need to fit the GL would all have to be 19x8.5. (Not as listed in the ad)
Also, I have heard that going to the 19's/20's/21's is going to get worse fuel economy than the base/stock 18's - (Because of more rolling resistance / more tire area on the ground) anyone out there have any thoughts on that?
Any ideas out there?
