3rd row seat issues

The driver side third row seat does not go down all the way, up a couple of inches. Checked cushions through out and nothing blocking or causing it not to go down. If I manually press down on the seat it goes flush to floor. Anyone have this issue?

I haven't had that issue knepster. We have our seats up/down quite a bit with the dog, but the automatic raise/lower feature still works like a charm.

Like Stumblefoot, I use mine very frequently with having 3 dogs ride in the back with the 3rd row down. No issues at all. Next time you're at the dealer, have them take a look at it.

Have you checked under the actual seat cushion as well? I was missing the RSE headphones for a while, and for some reason, don't know how, they had slipped under the cushion. I found them today There are lids that should protect things getting under there, but they ended up there anyway. Although this didn't prevent the seat from flushing, it could be worth checking. BTW, mine has worked fine all the time.

thanks all. I checked, nothing. It is strange b/c when I push the close button and hold it the seat goes flush and then pops up a few inches--it does not lock in place. I will be bringing it for them to troubleshoot. I looked at all the gearings and mechanics under the flap, nothing stuck there either. Might just be a bad latch or something.

ive had toys, clothes and stuff like that tucked in the seat and it wouldn't close. Sounds like something is locking up.

time to take it to your highly trained, very well versed Authorized Mercedes-Benz Service Center.

Havent had that issue either Knep....

Odd thing, try holding down both the up and down together for a couple of secs and let go, then try them out. It could reset the "malfunction." Reason I say this tactic is because in our 04 E320, the driving dynamic didn't work and the service advisor held down two of the buttons, shut the car down and started it back up and it was fine ever after.
