Im thinking about getting a new M or Gl with a diesel motor.Can anyone tell me how they perform and what type of fuel mileage should i expect.I drive about 700 hiway miles a week.Will this motor run to 100,000 miles or more??? Thanks for all the help.

We have both, a GL320 and ML320 from 2008 model year . They are both great trucks! They both get similar gas mileage even though the GL is heavier. Stop an go city traffic is about 19 mpg. They really do well on the highway, about 24.5 mpg.

Keep digging through this forum there are tons of postings on the great mileage of these machines. They will run way past 100K clicks. Driving as often as you do - you owe it to yourself to drive a diesel.

The highest I have seen is 30.4 mpg. I drove at 55 MPH for about 30 miles, no traffic, cruise on, and 65 degrees F outside.
