What, you didn't read the title of this thread? It turns out that hydrogen is more efficient than urea at breaking down the NOx that the urea, or "AdBlue," does that makes our diesels 50-state emissions compliant. And it can be generated on board so it doesn't have to be stored. The return of the spare tire! Woo-hoo!

There is, of course, no hydrogen distribution system in place in the US. It might be likely that we'll have pothole-free roads first.
