2007 GL450 PE
What do you use to clean you alloy wheels ?

Hi all,

I have the 20" 5 spoke wheels which came with the 450 PE, there is a yellowish color on the front ones now which I can't get off that easily. Do you know of anything that will clean them up properly ?

Thanks,

Orn

yellowish color sounds like sprinkler water! use soap and water (to be safe)

then wax (maybe w/ a buffer). It will take some effort if it is sprinkler water but wax won't damage or discolor your rim while wheel cleaner/chemicals may discolor your wheel

P21s regular or Gel Wheel Cleaners are safe and work well. The gel is stronger. If the stain is tough you can let it sit for up to 2 hours then agitate and hose off. Avoid the cheap crap from your local auto parts stores. They have acids and/or alcohols that aren’t good for your wheels or braking system.

I’m partial to Wolfgang sealant on my wheels instead of wax.
