SMALLER wheels on GL?

Hi there! Looking at getting an GL, wanting to have more options for tire sizes and makes. Anyone know if smaller wheels, (i.e. 16" or 17") will fit on a GL, anyone have experience or photos which such a set-up???

I have stock 18" on my 450 and, in my opinion, anything smaller will not look right. Too much room between tire and wheel well.

Wouldn't the overall diameter be same no matter you use 18 " 20" or even 16" if it was available ? I thought that the tyre sidewall compensates for the overall size or the speedo will go kuku

Sidewall will compensate but smaller wheels may not clear the brakes.
