Just got home from Denver in the SL
Thought I had better post a shot or two or bear the pain of the GL group...
Here are two shots I took tonight with the top down. I will be relating my experience with the SL and the Colorado curves and grades in the SL forum so keep you eyes out there. I don't want to be totally OT with the SL on this forum.

ABC was great! I was alone almost in Glenrock Canyon run and I did not hold back. Anyone who had made that fantastic trip knows what I mean... the scenery was beautiful going east in the GL but coming home all I saw as blacktop and yellow lines...:-)

Early iterations of ABC were prone to massive failures for unknown reasons.Luckily for 2009 we got a brand spanking new iteration of ABC from the W221/W216 albeit sligtly different.

Beautiful. Sounds like you had a great trip.
Wish we could take a nice road trip but this island is full of potholes. We're hoping the Superferry will eventually make it to the Big Island.
Enjoy!

Thanks shooz... Colorado and the mountains are an ideal match for this car. Never had so much fun as yesterday on those roads with hardly any traffic to interfere.

Glad you had a great trip back-n-forth. Had to be a lot of fun I'm sure.
New car looks fantastic! Greg has done another bang up job for sure.

That Glenrock Canyon run in the morning with only a few cars is a hoot! What a beautiful job they did to protect the views but at the same time make I-70 a test track for NevadaJack...:-)
Greg and Trent were fantastic. When the front bumper showed up with 6 holes they offered to get it back to the original "no front plate" condition. Called me Friday with a shop in LV and had it done Wednesday. Pics on the 230 pic file.

The cruise was a real winner and southeastern Alaska was stunning. We are spoiled with great wildlife here in Colorado, but it's a whole different world up there. I think the scenery and wildlife would leave your camera smokin'. Would love to do it again sooner rather than later. As you know we had never cruised before, so I had a bit of trepidation, but I must say that SilverSea was truly first class. They are the MB of luxury cruise lines for sure.
Spent a couple of days in Vancouver at the end of the trip and what a beautiful city that place is. Tons of MB's and BMW's all over town, but not alot of Audi's. I counted a total of eight 450's that I saw in two days. No 550's though.
Glad you got to enjoy that Glenwood Canyon drive. It was the last section of I-70 completed nationally back in the 90's and you can see why it took so long. An engineering marvel to say the least.
Also, glad to see that everything went well with Greg and Trent. I'm sure they about crapped their pants when they saw that SL roll in with those plate holes. Glad they found you a good shop to fill them in. Hope to see you during your next trade in which I currently estimate to be about Valentine's Day for that SL65.

Good to hear that you guys had fun up in Alaska, Stumble. I may have to take some pointers and head up one of these days.
