anyone know why the wood/leather steering wheel

cost less than the all leather one?

its 715 for the wood/leather, and 1000 for the all leather at the dealer?

I have all leather, it's a requirement if you have the heated steering wheel.

The heated steering wheel is part of some package, can't remember which. I'm speculating, but maybe the leather wheel has the heating electronics in them independent of whether you have heated sterring wheel or not?

no heated wheel on mine, just the regular leather one.

btw, the heated wheel costs $1500 from the dealer.

i was just curious since there is usually a premium for wood/leather over just leather steering wheels.

For my 08 320 CDI, I wanted the wood leather steering wheel, but it was only available through MB as part of the all leather package, which I did not need. My dealer told me about an after market wheel he could order from performanceproducts.com which would match the original birdseye maple interior that comes standard on the vehicle. I gave him the go ahead to order it ($695 at the time) and have it installed, and I have been extremely pleased with it. The PP wheel even contains more wood than the MB wheel which makes it nicer. One of my posts from several months ago includes pictures of it.

I also didn't want to pay the leather premium and purchased the wood/leather wheel and am glad I did.
