I'm taking my GL450 in for "oustanding Service or Recall Campaign"

I was sent email. When called, MBZ said it's not officially recall yet, but would like to take a look and fix compressor if needed. They were not very detailed. Just that it would take 2 hours.
Anyone know what they are fixing? Anyone get this email/letter

 

Sounds like it might be for the airmatic compressor.

 

Yep, sounds like the AirMatic compressor to me too. Get it in and checked before the AirMatic goes out like mine did and end up having to wait on a flatbed.

 

Anyone know if this compressor is the same as the one in the 550 models? Are 550's affected by the same recall?

 

I've had too many problems with the GL and it's only been 14 months.

 

Anyone know if this is the same compressor for M class?
