CL 65 '09, ML 63 '09. The wife's: 09' SL 63 & S550.

Opinion: 20 vs 21" wheels?

Hi Gang

I'm getting a new 2009 ML63 next Spring and it has the option of 21" wheels vs the standard 20". I understand that my current 20" snowtires/wheel combo will fit just fine... SO you GL drivers with 21" wheels, I turn to you for advice...go for the 20 or 21? Downsides of the 21"?

E55, GLS450, GL63, GLE350

If you have a blow-out on a 21" tire, you will be riding the spare for a week or so until the tires are shipped. The 21" tires are very expensive. You will have a great selection of 20" tires at about 1/2 the cost of the 21" tires.
