Angry Slashed Tires

I am here in Houston right now and the wifey is back home in OC. Anyways, I just got a call from her saying that someone slashed all 4 tires on our new GL550. WTF is wrong with society????? Did I mention she isn't even home, she was out for garba tonight with our girls and parents. Now my dad has to get a ride home from my father in law, pick up his S65 and bring everyone back. I am so infuriated right now. arrrrhhhhhh

This is going to cost me $1500 to $1700 bucks for all new tires installed.

Nothing can be said to explain the disrespect someone has for other people's possessions. Envy, peer pressure, and/or sociopathic tendencies could possibly be in play here...it's a sad statement of our society whatever the case.

PS...Does your auto insurance cover this type of damage (less deductible)?

sorry to hear that, I'm sure insurance would cover it minus the deductible

...lesson learned here, doing too much dancing in circles and/or raas doesn't always do you good ...just joking

ECO terrorism perhaps.

Hope the "CDI" on the back of mine plus the less overtly aggressive grille and wheels and the gold color will help me.

Sorry to hear about the incident. But, your insurance should cover it.

thanks guys. i just spoke to my insurance agent and this is covered under my comprehensive insurance. luckily my deductible is only $50. I just need to submit all my bills to him and I will get a check in the mail.

The car was towed to the dealer courtesy of MB Laguna Niguel and they will install the tires once tire rack gets them shipped out monday morning. I just wonder kind of morons exist on this planet.

So sorry to hear this happened to you. Such a bummer that someone would stoop so low I am glad to hear your insurance will cover the cost of replacement tires. Still totally sucks your wife had to go through this.

Sorry to hear about this. Anyone that has been the victim of this type of behavior can relate.

The types who perform these cowardly acts always get theirs "in the end", no pun intended (well maybe a little). Karma always has a way of getting even. The only down side is we usually do not get the privaledge of knowing about or witnessing the pounding.

Yeah tell me about it. I love my State Farm coverage.

I do hope that the SOB that did this pays for it one way or another. Scum like this should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

Very sad.

We had a little LCD flat screen and DVD player/recorder stolen out of our horse trailer this summer as it sat in our driveway! First it creeps me out to think someone would come into our house to steal something. Second, I'd like to spend some personal time rearranging the buys brains a little more than they already are.

What's funny is they stole the stuff and left the remotes - which were no more than 6 inches away.

State Farm did me proud, but did cost me $250 deductable.

Jim, I am very sorry to hear that. That is quite creepy to know that an individual whom you do not know came into your house. And secondly, yes they are that dumb lol, why not take the remote haha.

This reminds me of an individual who stole a a LCD TV from a hotel room. Little did that poor ******* know that the TV wouldn't work anywhere else but my hotel due to ProIdiom and Lodgenet lol.

Lastly, state farm truly does rock. Look into getting your comprehensive increased as it only costs about $10 more but your deductible will be considerably less. For me I don't mind changing the tires, its just the damn time and headache involved in doing so.

well

Sorry to hear about both you guys. There are are always two kinds of people in the world. Scumbags and us .

Happened to me once in Hawaii. Hell broke loose on us. We were on our trip abroad (stop over) and the a$$holes stole the only bag from Van which had our passports and green cards. Its been a few years but we still get terrified remembring how we got back home with no money and no identity.

We had the rear passenger window shattered in broad daylight at Sam's. It was a tax-free holiday for back-to-school. Police said the low life scum was working the whole town, knowing that people would be carrying goods. Funny part is, they only got an insulated grocery bag with a few perishable food items. Cost me $250 deductible.

Wow, I totally forgot to update this post. I had the new tires installed at the dealer (free btw. Kudos to MBLN for making this possible). I submitted the receipt for the tires from TireRack to State Farm and the check is in the mail as of friday.

While at the dealer, they had some new software updates for the car and took care of that as well along with replacing the wireless headphones since they just weren't working properly. Also got the Barolo Red beast detailed and waxed.

It runs like a dream now.

Had the same issue happen to our ML a couple of years back. Such an annoyance! Hopefully everyone had a good time at the garba though!
