my GL 450 stumbles

Does anyone feel like the tranny has a problem downshifting at low speeds? I feel like the transmission is in a higher gear than it should be when I am slowing down to make a turn and then accelerating. I feel like I am driving a manual transmission in the wrong gear. Once I hit 40, or I step on it, the problem goes away

Common problem on 320 and 450. Have the dealership reflash the software and it should go away. I've had this done 2x and it goes away for 3-4K miles, only to appear again.

Any one else have this issue where the new software fixes the problem but then the bad downshifting from 3-2 and 2-1 begins to occur?

Yes. But with mine the problem seems to disappear once the engine warms up.
