Don't throw away old iPods - recycle them
My kids (both in college - always kids in my eyes) have a number of old iPods sitting around - broken screens, wheels, buttons, faulty batteries, you name it. Since I have little control over what plays in the GL, and can only control the iPod from the steering wheel, I thought why leave a newer unit in the glove box when I can take a dead unit and give it new life.
Dusted one of them off, loaded my music, plugged it in - works like new. Wish I thought of this sooner before I bought the iTouch.

Excellent idea! And keep two sets of earbuds or headphones in the seatback pouches for unexpected passengers who don't want to listen to your music!
