My driver window opens with one touch (opens all the way down), but not when I'm trying to close it. All other windows open and close with one touch. Couldn't find help in the owners' manual. Anyone have this issue?

 

It should open and close with one touch. Take it to the dealer.

 

Like comfy says, it should close with one touch. But you do have to push the button all the way, past the resistance point.

 

Mine stopped one time IIRC after some service work.

This is something the service advisor can usually do without help from a mechanic and this was the case and I was on my way in 2 minutes.

 

Mine quit working for one day and then magically syartedworking fine the next day.......that was a couple months ago.........no problems since!

Try this...turn the car on...press and hold the up button til it closes all the way, then immediately press and hold the down button til it goes all the way down...try this twice, then cut the car off, count to 10 and turn the car back on...if it does not work after the first sequence, try it one more time...this should reset your window functions

Same problem - once within 30 days after I bought. Haven't had the problem again....gremlin.

I had the same issue, but the next time in the car it was fine. No repeats since then. Gremlins, or BMW beaming microwave signals into the car to get us to switch!

 

Well, did my suggestion work for you this morning?

 

My window did that exact thing once. I ran the window all the way up by holding the button until the window stopped but I continued to hold the button in the up position for a few seconds. It has worked fine since.
Give it a try and see if it works on yours.
