Is this a fair price
I am in the market for a GL for my wife. I was going to get a GL450 with P2, Appearance, RES, Illuminated seals. I got $4500 of MSRP. However, the issue is that the have a factory driven GL550 with an MSRP of $86000. They are selling it to me for $75000. I get buy rate MF, and 15000 miles/year for 30 months. Is that a good price for the GL550? It basically gets a brand new warranty and is registered as a new car since it has never been titled. I am somewhat nervous, it would be my first "used" car.
Thanks for the opinions.

Is this an '08? If it's an '08 that deal is not good, not even close to good. My co-worker and I bought new '08's last night. I got 17k off a no miles, new 71k MSRP GL450 and he got 17k off a no miles new '08 GL550 that was 80k MSRP. It will not be hard at all to locate more with the same discount, people on the board will send you personal messages on where to go if you ask for help.
As for options you will be beholden to whatever is left but most of the cars left out there are well-optioned and you will be happy with them unless you are crazed for a particular option.
Heads-up though, there is a chance the $10,000 they are giving the dealers to help them get rid of the left-over '08 GL stock may end 12/31...but there is also a chance they keep the rebates or maybe give even bigger rebates! You make the call!
As for lease rate - that sounds awesome, but they will give you 3.9% financing on an '08 GL450 or 4.9% on '08 GL550 today ...so it is possible that financing may be "better" than leasing....as a comp, the 63k GL550 fully financed for 5yrs at 4.9% is $1186 a month all in...

2009 GL550
What was the base rate MF they offered? I just leased a GL550 for 48 months with 0.00094 MF; dealer marked it up to 0.00144. I believe rates for 24 months were 0.00064. If you can get this rate for 30 months, I say jump on it as it's almost free money. $11k off MSRP for a 2009 GL550 is also a one-time thing. I was able to get over $4k off, some are getting $5-6k off MSRP, so $11k is a really good deal. Combine it with the lease rate (assuming the above MF's are still in play), I say it's a no brainer.
