When is next GL facelift?
Looking at buying a GL500 (Hong Kong) for the wife.
I've spotted the spypics facelift for the Gl with LED headlights rear lights etc, but when does that come into production? I've heard that is was MY10. So when should I order for the new enhancements?

it would be MY10. Wouldn't surprise me if they didn't do it or kept it VERY minor to cut costs.

when are MY10 cars produced? Im thinking of putting in for April 09 production.
Will MY10 be available then?

Furthermore, there seems to be a difference between the GL500 (overseas) and GL550 (domestic) grille. The overseas model's grille are all the same, not the larger grille found on the GL550 domestic models. Are there aftermarket modifications to change to the larger grille?

I would agree a 110% with changes being minor and only components that will change, IMO, are the ones that are shared across ML and GL lines such as headlights, etc.

I believe that the GL500, found overseas, is a rebadged GL450 found in US. As far as aftermarket mods to change the grill, no one seems to have found a good solution. Yet

I believe you need to change the bumper to install the grill. You will probably need to wait until July 09 production to get a MY10 model.

No, there are no 550s anywhere but USA. Elsewhere, they're all called 500 even though they indeed have the 5.5 engine.

hmm so I might as well place my order for april production.

Any one have Obsidian black with beige interior? Im considering this combo as our S class is obsidian black with grey interior.

I would suggest Peridot (Verde Brook) with the tan interior. It is a truly awesome colour that complements the interior perfectly.
