Steering 'feel' after TSB replacement

I had mentioned to my SA that I was hearing/feeling the notorious 'clunking/groaning' sounds from the steering column and would they look at it for me.
They ended up replacing the steering shaft and steering shaft coupling it seems. It has really helped the steering 'feel', in that there is much less play in the steering, and it just feels far more accurate and direct. Much easier to drive on the highway as it does not seem the truck needs minor steering wheel corrections all of the time to keep it heading straight.
Highly recommend that if you have the above low speed 'groaning/clunking' issues in the steering wheel, (especially when reversing it seemed to me), that you inquire about having the TSB performed for this issue. I am very happy with the result.
I know that this is a well known issue and I'm sorry if the above has been very well documneted already. I just wanted to let people know that even our late model '08 benefited from the above.

I would highly recommend this service to be done !
