Something on 4 wheels..
Dashbord on 2009 GL550

Just curious...What material is the GL550's dashboard made of? I noticed the stitching just like the one on the ML63. Is it leather as well?

Thanks in advance!

If I had to venture a guess, i would say it is MB-Tex rather than leather...The two are so hard to tell apart.

MB-Tex does not shrink when the hot sun is beating down on the dash and it is much more difficult to scratch compared with leather... It just seems logical that MB-Tex would be used.

Thanks! Even if it isn't "real" leather, it looks much better than the usual plastic-dashes you see so often..
