Britax makes some pretty good seats. For a convertible car seat, we chose the Britax Boulevard over the Recaro Como. The only advantage to the Recaro was cheaper price. Everything else seemed superior on the boulevard.
However, the Recaro young sport seat looks pretty nice for older kids.

Yeah, my experience is only with the Recaro Start for toddlers, i.e. 4+ years. It's metal rather than plastic, is the only toddler seat I've seen with ISOFIX (top), and it has a feature that keeps the car seatbelt tight that I've seen on no other. At $349 there are few more expensive, too.
Have the Recaro in wife's and stepdaughter's cars and am thinking of simply junking the Mercedes seat for one for the GL, too. Only downside I see to the Recaro is the weight and the implications of that for air travel for rental car use at the destination.
