One running board?

Yesterday I managed to slightly damage my right running board on a wall on a very tight bend. I called the local dealer and they told me that they only sell them in pairs! Has anyone had a similar situation? Is there and internet store that would sell them separately? I live in Bulgaria, and the only source of genuine parts is the dealer and they would not sell them by one.

There's one on eBay but it's for the left side. I know this doesn't help you but if the damage is not too bad and you can wait, maybe waiting for a right side to show up on the site would be your best bet.

Have you tried to take the board off to see see damage? Do you think that you would only need the outer cover? If the metal structure under the outer shell is damaged then you may need to get a brand new set and they do come in pairs. If you only need the outer part then I've heard that people could order them separately. What finish do your running boards have? Is it chrome or brushed aluminum? If its' chrome it maybe hard to find since they have been discontinued by MB.

They are brushed aluminum. A friend also mentioned the outer cover being an option, and from what i can see on the outside there is no possibility that the inner structure is damaged - only a part of the aluminum is torn but its not more than 2-3 cm (1 inch) in length and is only a few millimeters deep. Thank you both, and I'll keep in touch if I manage to order just an outside cover

It takes less than 5 minutes to pull the outer cover off. There is a part number stamped on the inside. Give that part number to MB parts dept. and they should be able to look it up.

Too bad that I didn't see your message before. I just finished installing running boards on my car earlier this week. If I knew that you needed that number I would have written down for you.
