we always have high humidity with around 98-100 degree temps in summer here - the humidity makes it miserable as heat indexes often top out around 108-110 degrees. I've always heard desert heat isn't bad due to no-to-low humidity, but of my last trip to Vegas in the summer I found that to be "not true".
no humidity and dry heat are good for not sweating as much, but I literally felt like I was walking in a convection oven when I was outside. Hot air blowing on me is not "nice". I couldn't even stand near my window at the Palazzo b/c the heat radiating off the glass was unbearable. Def prefer Vegas in spring or fall (esp Halloween...but that's another story!) - but going to brave the desert in July one more time. The plus is that there are plenty of skimpily dressed women on the strip in the summer (but nothing compared to Halloween in Vegas)
