GL320 BTC service costs?

Was looking into getting the prepaid maintenance for our '09 Bluetec (5yr/50k), but was shocked at cost - more than $3,000...and therefore decided to pass.

When we asked the dealership for approximate maintenance costs, we were quoted $300 for 1st svc, $600-$800 for 2nd, $1100 for 3rd, and over $2k for 40k mile service. Dealership supposedly quoted "Edmunds.com" for 30k & 40k service cost. As an ex MB employee, I have a very hard time believing that maintenance costs are so high for this vehicle. Can anyone confirm or deny these claims?

Just had the 30K. It was the same as 10K, less than $300. They did say the 40K would cost more.

That's the one where they change the plugs and re-build the carburetor.

No, it's the one where your suspension fails and your cabin air stepper motor needs to be replaced.

trans service on a .9 requires new pan gasket, filter, and bolts for the pan (the trans is magnesium).
