Picked up a GL550
Yesterday, we brought home a new 09 AW GL550! I love it. This car rides so smooth and quiet compared to our X5. I especially like the different suspension settings.
I have a couple of questions for the GL owners. Does the rear ent. system come with only one wireless headset? There was only one headset in the car. And I tried pairing bluetooth with my phone but it asked for a passcode and I can't find the passcode anywhere in the manual. Can someone help?
Thanks.

First, congratulations on getting the GL, its a hell of a vehicle. Ours is just about to pass 30,000 miles, with no issues to report (knock on wood).
I can't help you with the rear seat entertainment system because they changed the system from 2008 to 2009 model years.
As for the bluetooth passcode, I bet it is MBUSA (use the numbers on the keypad to input MBUSA).

No, there should be two remotes and two wireless headsets.
The passkey for synching bluetooth is 62872 (MBUSA)
Glad you like it. I bought my '09 550 in April and have put 3000 miles on it. Not a single complaint so far and it's been a great vehicle!

Our GL was programmed with any four digit passcode that we decided. Whatever you choose must be the same entered into the phone as you chose to enter into the command system.

are you able to move the screens slightly up or down to create better visablity like the 08's? or are the 09's stuck in the angled position all the time?

Congrats. We picked up an AW GL550 in January (the 2nd) and my wife has put about 9000 miles on it. She loves it, and drives everywhere in this thing. Plenty of room, great ride (although I prefer the sportier ride of the 2008 X5 4.8i we traded, but I have an M5 as my DD), and luxurious.

Welcome to the club. My wife loves hers and although I prefer more BMW-esque ride/handling, it's nice for longer trips to have the more comfortable ride. No issues so far in about 2+ months.

no - they're in a permanent position - although the position of the seat could be altered I suppose to provide a different viewing angle as long as it doesnt get too uncomfortable for the driver or passenger in that seat. I worry because with a 2-year old in a car seat right behind me and me having long legs requiring my drivers seat to be pretty far back, he can literally reach out and touch the screen. Crossing my fingers he never throws and hits it with anything as I've heard replacements run $2k.
I have an infant rear facing car seat behind the passenger and cant even use the Graco base with that because the car seat handle hits the screen.
