MB GL 320 2008
Engine oil burn/ coolant level low

Has any one had similar problems with GL 320 i diesel SUV, with excessive oil burn which I had with ML 450 2000 model.
This AM add coolant level came on.
This is a 2008 GL 320 i with 35 k miles.
Thank you.

PS : as usual the dealer gives unbeleivable explanation for this problem.

There have been extensive discussions about this in the past. Most diesels use a little oil. My 08 GL 320 uses about 1 qt / 5K, now. It used a little more when it was new. Almost every diesel I have owned (many) have used some oil, some more than others. My current Duramax is the first diesel I have ever owned that uses none. This does not mean anything is wrong with them, it's just the nature of a diesel engine.
