Adding heated rear seats - need some help
Folks,
I'm seriously looking into doing this for the brats, because they just aren't spoiled enough
I think this should be doable for $300-350 from a company that OEM's seat heaters for mercedes. If i do this, i will post a nice how-to thread, but before i take it on i have a couple questions
1) has anyone removed the seat covers on the rear seats - any comments on how it went? easy? difficult? I have a quote from a local upholsterer for 250.00 so my worst case scenario is $ 600.00 - still not too bad.
2) under the drivers side rear seat, there is a two pin connector /harness that is unused - can anyone tell me what that is for?
3) looking for the nearest 10-15amp fusable power supply to the rear if you know where one is let me know.
Thanks,
Aceman

It's not a connector for heated rear seats if that's what you hope.
Mercedes does not offer this option.
You're looking at a wiring nightmare every time you fold the rear seats.

GL320...
Guess i need to update my sig.....picked up a GL320 during the crazy 10K incentive....
The cabling will not be as bad as you think. I realize the cushions fold in different areas & heated rear seats is an option in the "heating package" so i know benz offers it here in the states...
will keep you posted.

Come back to the dealer, ask for the one with rear heated seats, and look at its under-the-back-cushion

My two cents
