2007 ML 500
can you run 19 inch rims on a gl550

my friend who has a gl550 needs to buy a dedicated snow tire setup and came across a w164 ml500 who has factory 19 with snow tire cheap

he was wondering if anyone knows if the 19 will fit on over the gl550 brakes ...anyone know ?

Yes, I had 18 inch ML wheels on my 550 while my wheels were being chromed. The ML tires might not have correct weight rating though.

thanks for the comfirmation. when you refer to the weight rating, you mean the load rating for the tire load? if so, the tires have a 111H rating similar to the gl's.

when you used the 18" ML wheels, which lug nuts did you use? the set from the 18" ? or the set of lug nuts from you 21" amg wheels?

They are bolts and I used the originals from the 21's.

btw, on your 550... do you have the heat/ventilated seat option?

i'm trying to figure out if heated rear 2nd row seats only come as part of that package, or if it is standard equipment on 550's.

They are heated but not ventilated.
