i'm trying to pair up my htc touch windows mobile phone with my 09 gl550 and when it searches for my phone the name comes up as "windowsmobile44"

i can pair the phone and it works fine, but i can't seem to change the name the phone is paired under.

my windows mobile phone's owner info is vinceching, and i'm not sure where the "windowsmobile44" is coming from

does anyone know how to edit the phone name once it's paired? because i searched the manual and fiddled with various buttons and menus with no luck.

Here you go.

To change the Bluetooth name of your Windows Mobile device, follow these steps:

1. Go to Start > Settings > System tab > About

2. Switch to Device ID tab.

3. Type the new name in Device name and select ok.
