We got our first good snow of the season, roughly 18". The tires did incredible. I am very satisfied with their performance. I drove both snow, and now black ice. I had no problems at all and had great traction. HTH

We are running Nitto Dura Grapplers in the same size and load rating as the stock tires: 265/60R18 110H.
These tires work very well for us in all conditions... We had them in the snow up in Flagstaff, AZ recently, and while they are not dedicated snow tires, they work better than the Michelins that came stock on the vehicle.
We got about 30K miles out of the original Michelins.
So far we have 15K miles on the Nittos and they are wearing much better than the Michelins. They also have a 60K mike treadwear warrantee, so I can say so far that these tires are a superior option to the OEM tires.

Hi Kaila,
Thanks for the report. My GL450 still have the original Goodyear Eagle Runflat, in the past few days under heavy rain the GL drove very stable even hi speed on the freeway. When my Eagle is done I will look into the Prada.

This size difference is negligible so it is an option. In addition, the slightly narrower size will actually do slightly better in the snow.
The p-metric dura-grapplers are actually a 5 rib design versus the 4 rib LT sizes. The tread is more aggressive and deeper than stock tread so it does a bit better in deeper snow and light mud.

They don't come in 285/50/20, but they do come in 275/55/20, which is about 2% larger diameter, and about 3% narrower (about 1 cm narrower, and about 1.7 cm larger diameter.
