GL450
Chrome wheel option
I've bought a GL450, sight unseen to take advantage of the $10K offer. I can't go pick it up for a week or two either... One of the additional options is a Chromed wheel package. It is my understanding that it is the same wheel, but chromed. Anybody have any info on this? I'm not sure what to think and am considering just selling and replacing???

Any pros/cons or comments would be much appreciated.

It has the GL Appearance package, so I believe it will be the 20" 5-spoke.

Mercedes produces engineering document specifically prohibiting chrome plating of its wheels.

Many dealers ignore this. The "package" is a dealer-created thing.

Thanks for the replies. I think I will try and get them to swap the wheels with some "un-chromed" ones on another GL450
