Question Re: 19in OEM tires...

I have the OEM 19in, 275-55-19 Conti's....can I put a 255-55-19in tire, with the same load index of 111? Will this hurt performance in anyway?

Thanks.

unless you are getting the 255's free or dirt cheap, no real reason to go smaller in tire width.

no stretch.. the 275s bulge a bit so 255 are good.

actually in europe most folks will do 255 winter tires anyway if they use the same wheel.

narrower tire- better control and traction in inclement weather.
