not sufficient load rating... 111 is required.. the hankooks are 107 i think.

i had the same question and talked to the tirerack folks... 111 is required for our truck.

now... if you are not towing and you are not going to go 150mph with 7 people and full load of luggage... the 107 might be plenty....

but....

your mileage might vary.

I have them on my GL. They are 111 load rating.

I have found them to be quiet. I've only had them a few weeks, so far they have done just fine in the snow. They are 275 width so not exactly a perfect snow tire, but they have done fine as far as I'm concerned.

Performance, I can't really say yet. We've had too much snow and ice to be able to test cornering, etc.

We are getting them put on our GL tomorrow. Will report back after a few weeks on how the perform. They will certainly get a test with all of the snow we have been receiving!

installed and i drove a few hundred miles since then.

good tire, not mushy or noisy, much much better in the slippery stuff than my worn-out pirellis (to be expected i assume)

overall- assuming they hold together well and dont wear too quick- i would buy them again.

Where did you buy thes Hankook RH07 tires and how much did you pay?
My original Continental only have 14,000 miles on them and they are already worn out. How many miles did you guys get out of your OEM tires?

Continentals on my 2007 GL450 did 15K per set on average for the 3 sets the car has been thru (recommended PSI front and rear). I am now trying the Pirellis 38psi front, 40psi rear) and hoping for more mileage. I will say that in spite of the low mileage, the ride was comfortable and the car sure footed with the Contis.

Now just one GL450 with EORP.
I have 20 k on mine and the fronts have many tears in the tread blocks due to the tight turn cirle of this beast. Plenty of tread depth left, but many small chunks of rubber about to fall off. These got rotated to the rears today, and the old rears are about 1/8' above the wear bars. All of them will be toast in about 5k. I have no complaints on them though. Even with the ragged tread blocks they are still quiet and grippy. Haven't had any scary hydroplaning episodes either.

Hello everyone
DO NOT put these tires on your truck they are the worst! I am on the second set from Gripston/Hankook . the first set would not balance so I complained and they sent me a second set but I have the same thing . They dont balance after 5 tries and a lot of money from 3 different tire places. they ride hard as a rock ( yes I have the correct air pressure ) and they are very loud ! the only good thing about them is they are great in rain ( i am waiting for snow) does anyone want them I will sell them to you fro half price with 5k miles on them the only choice you have with this truck is the factory tires if you want the comfort that you expect from a luxury truck , feel free to email me with questions. I am so mad i wasted so much money on these!

I just replaced the OME tires on my Lexus Rx450 with a new set of fatter hankook ventus AS. They seem to be quiet, and the handling is better. Unable to comment on other yet.
Be careful when reading tires reviews from different users, I found those are very subjective. So many conditions can affect the performance of tires therefore change your view of points toward a particular tire set. For example, some tires are more noisy on concrete roads than other, but not on asphalt surface. So, if a person's daily commute route consist mostly of concrete road, he may put down negative review, but others may praise how quiet the same tires are. I was at one point obsessed about get a quiet ride for my previous infiniti G35, and had three different brands/sets of tires at the same time(after reading too much reviews on tirerack.com.). Now, I will check what most of majority say and disregard the few others.
As for handkook Rh07, most of reviews are positive, as in discounttire and tirerack.

my experience is very different. after 10k miles riding on those they are still very quiet, provide comfy ride and did balance perfectly. grip is excellent not to mention price point. they also seems to wear very well at least on my truck.

find a tire shop that has a hunter dsp road force balancer to balance your tires. in my mind most 17" and over tires cannot be balanced perfectly with a regular style balancer.

I've had mine now for a full year, almost 18K miles. For my money, these are great tires. They are quiet, handle well in dry, wet and snow conditions.

? Update on Hankook Tires

My 07 GL 320 cdi, at approx 47,000 miles, needs new tires. My original Conti's lasted 30,500 mi. and I replaced with Michelin Diamaris. Much to my surprise and disappointment, these only lasted about 17,000 miles. I take care of this car and rotate every 6000 miles.
It seems there are positive responses to the Hankook Ventus AS RH07.
Can I get an update from anyone who has these installed ?

Happy Holidays...
