Sidestep bar repair question

My nanny, who picks our kids up from school in our GL450 (bad idea? maybe....read on), smacked the driver's side sidestep bar into the concrete apron at our local gas station. It's dented, possibly pushed in a little, and the black tread by the rear door is *poof* gone. Bummer. Clearly, I'm getting it fixed, but the question is this -- is there any possible damage that I can't see? My main concern is whether the sidestep bars are bolted directly to the frame, and if so, whether that might be damaged.

Anyone have any experience with this or helpful thoughts? Any idea what this repair might run me? Seems a simple enough swap of parts (no body damage I can see), but these things always end up more complicated that I expect.

TIA
Dave

Are you going through your auto insurance for repairs? Then a good body shop should be able to inspect the damage if any to the frame/mounting location. Good Luck.
