Maintenance Intervals

Just curious if anyone had a .pdf or knew the maintenance intervals for a 2009 GL550. I bought mine used and it only had the owners manual which refers to the maintenance booklet which I do not have.

It has about 20k miles on it and is telling me that Service A and Service B are due at about the same time. Just curious what needs to be done for both and why A and B are due at the same time.

Also, are these trucks so technical that I should only take it to my dealer for these services? Or would a local trusted mechanic be able to service it?

Service A & B are mainly oil and oil filter changes along with other body inspection. Manual states it need to be done at every 13000 miles. My guess that owner probably did the service but never reset the lights. you can check with the dealer regarding the maintenance history. if the service was done then light should be reset. you can search this forum on how to reset light, which is not in the owner manual. good luck.

'09 and up models have a fixed service interval of 10k miles in the US, and still have a flexible service system in Europe where it can go up to 19k miles between services.

'08 and older models have a flexible service interval, which usually runs about 13k miles or so.

Yes, 2009 model year and newer use a fixed service interval of 10k miles. Earlier models, the service interval was 13k miles.
