Bluetooth problem
Yesterday, I got out of my car with it running (wife was in car with napping son!) and bluetooth connected. I'm sure at some point it disconnected as I was going into a mall. My wife about 30 min later turned the car off (when the little guy woke up) and met me in the mall.
When we all got back in the car to go home, the COMAND now is out of synch with the phone. It thinks I'm in the middle of a call when I'm not...and I cannot end the call from any of the buttons on the car (end, hangup etc). Tried deleting the phone and re-adding it via the bluetooth, but everytime its connecting, it shows on the screen that I'm in the middle of "calling". So when the phone is connected at startup, the car thinks I'm making a call when I'm not, I can't end the call, and obviously can't play the radio etc since it thinks I'm on a call.
Is there someway to reset the COMAND system? I tried unplugging the bluetooth puck and then resynching but the same thing happened....
Very wierd that it can't automatically have disconnected my phone when I walked away from the car while it was on??
Any help is appreciated...

or maybe a way to delete out the preset phones the puck is trying to connect? It looks like there are 4 phones it could possible try and connect to in order...wonder if there is a way to delete the 4 phone profiles.....

An Idea Worth Trying--It Worked For Me
I had a similar problem several weeks ago. I tried everything with the command system to no avail. I then decided to reset my cell phone. I did so by removing and reinserting the battery. After my cell phone reset itsself, I was able to sync via bluetooth with the command system without any issue--it did so automatically. By the way, I reset my cell phone out of range of the vehilce/blutooth.
Just an idea that I hope assists you.

Resetting to phone did the trick!! Did the same as you, just pulled that battery out of my blackberry and let it turn back on. Reconnected and everything was back in synch....thanks for the suggestion, would have never figured that one out myself as I thought it had to do with the car more than the phone!!!

I gotta say that my wife's old Blackberry had to have the battery pulled a couple of times a week. There's even an app for that! No kidding, there is an application that simulates a battery pull (to the system, not just for the user to see). Her newer BB hasn't needed it nearly as much. But so many of the problems with one of those are solved with the old "yank the battery" trick.

iPhone similar issue
My iPhone will occasionally not want to connect - I assumed at one point it must be the phone so I'd re-boot the phone a wala (is there a way to spell that? :-0)! With all the changes taking place on handsets, it's most often the fault of the phone and not the MB system. It's fun to see this forum being it's helpful self! Other forums just bash each other...
